About our information and services

Medical Disclaimer

TRT Optima provides health information and helps coordinate access to physician consultations and related services in Colombia. This page explains the purpose and limits of that information, our support services, and the role of your treating physician.

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Emergency notice

TRT Optima’s website, assessments, email, and WhatsApp support are not emergency services and are not continuously monitored for urgent medical problems.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for a reply from our team.

1. Website information is educational

Articles, service descriptions, FAQs, social media posts, and other general materials published by TRT Optima are intended to help you understand health topics and possible care options.

They do not provide an individual diagnosis, prescription, or treatment plan and do not replace an appropriate consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.

Do not start, stop, or change medication based solely on our general content. Do not delay medical assessment because of something you read on this website.

2. TRT Optima’s role

TRT Optima helps people access physician consultations and coordinates practical aspects of care, which may include appointments, laboratory arrangements, prescription fulfillment, and follow-up support.

Medical assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, and treatment decisions are the responsibility of the treating physician or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Our administrative and WhatsApp support team helps with coordination and brings medical questions to the relevant clinician. Administrative support does not replace clinical assessment.

The provider responsible for a consultation, test, medication, or other healthcare service should be identified as part of arranging that service.

3. The free written hormone evaluation

Our free written hormone evaluation is an initial review of the information you submit, such as your symptoms, health history, and available bloodwork. Its purpose is to help explain possible next steps and whether a physician consultation or further assessment may be useful.

It is not a medical diagnosis, prescription, comprehensive health examination, or confirmation that you are suitable for treatment.

Its usefulness depends on the completeness, accuracy, and relevance of the information provided. Additional history, examination, testing, or specialist review may be needed.

Completing an assessment or receiving a written evaluation does not guarantee a prescription or require you to begin treatment.

4. Individual assessment and treatment decisions

Symptoms can have several causes. Fatigue, changes in mood, low libido, weight changes, or other concerns do not by themselves establish a hormonal condition.

Your physician considers your symptoms, medical history, current medications, examination where appropriate, and relevant test results.

Recommendations may include treatment, further investigation, monitoring, referral, or no medical treatment at that time.

A consultation does not guarantee that a particular medication, dose, formulation, or treatment will be recommended. Decisions depend on clinical suitability and applicable requirements.

5. Bloodwork and other test results

Test results need to be interpreted in context. Reference ranges, testing methods, sample timing, medications, and other factors can affect their meaning.

A result outside a laboratory’s reference range does not always establish a diagnosis. A result within the range does not necessarily explain or exclude the cause of your symptoms.

Sharing results with our team does not provide continuous clinical monitoring or guarantee immediate review. Follow any urgent instructions issued by the laboratory or treating clinician.

6. Virtual consultations and messaging

Virtual consultations can support assessment and follow-up, but some concerns require a physical examination, additional testing, or in-person care.

The treating professional determines whether remote assessment is appropriate and explains when another form of care is needed. Technical problems or incomplete information may require an appointment to be rearranged or continued through another suitable channel.

General enquiries and administrative messages do not constitute a medical consultation. Individual clinical advice provided by a treating professional remains subject to that professional’s responsibilities and the agreed scope of care.

7. Medication and treatment information

References to testosterone, menopausal hormone therapy, weight-management medication, or other treatments explain potential options. They are not recommendations that you personally use them.

Treatments can have side effects, interactions, and contraindications. Your physician should explain the expected benefits, relevant risks, alternatives, and monitoring requirements before treatment begins.

Mentioning a medication or brand does not guarantee its availability, approval for a particular use in Colombia, or suitability for you. Research findings and overseas guidance do not automatically establish local authorization.

8. Outcomes and personal experiences

Responses to care vary. We do not guarantee a particular improvement in symptoms, laboratory values, weight, fertility, sexual wellbeing, or other health outcomes.

Testimonials and personal accounts describe individual experiences. They do not predict your results or replace an assessment of the evidence and your circumstances.

Descriptions of research findings should be understood in the context of the population studied, the treatment investigated, and the study’s limitations.

9. Information you provide and follow-up

Please provide accurate information about your symptoms, diagnoses, medications, supplements, allergies, and current or previous treatment. Mention pregnancy, breastfeeding, or plans for having children when relevant.

Tell your treating clinician about changes in your health and any suspected side effects. Ask for clarification if you are unsure about instructions or follow-up arrangements.

Do not assume that uploading a document or sending a message means it has already been reviewed. If your condition becomes urgent, seek appropriate medical care.

10. External sources and updates

We may link to research, professional guidance, and other websites to support further reading. External organizations are responsible for their own content and privacy practices.

Medical knowledge and guidance evolve. Although we aim to keep our information accurate and useful, some content may become outdated or may not apply to your circumstances.

You can contact us to report a suspected factual error or ask about a source.

11. Your rights and informed consent

This disclaimer explains the scope of our information and services. It does not replace the informed-consent process for medical care, authorize the processing of health information, or remove rights and responsibilities established by applicable law.

Information about personal-data handling is provided in our Privacy Policy.
