Care that starts with your experience

You don’t need to arrive with a diagnosis.

You may have noticed a recent change, lived with symptoms for a while, or received results you want help understanding. Start with your experience and the questions you want answered.

Time to explain what has changed

Discuss your symptoms, cycle where relevant, health history, medications, and how you feel day to day.

Assessment with a purpose

Your physician considers possible hormonal and non-hormonal contributors, reviews available results, and determines whether further testing or examination would help.

Options you can understand

Discuss the reasoning behind recommendations, potential benefits and risks, and what follow-up would involve.

Your history gives the symptoms context

Your cycle, your stage of life, and how you feel all matter.

Symptoms can mean different things at different stages of life. Your physician considers the timing of the changes alongside your medical history and priorities.

Cycle and life-stage changes

Where relevant, discuss your periods, contraception, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any surgery affecting your uterus or ovaries.

Your wider health

Bring details of medications, supplements, existing conditions, and changes in sleep or emotional wellbeing.

What matters to you

Explain which symptoms affect you most, your treatment preferences, and any plans for pregnancy.

Your physician determines whether the next step is treatment, further investigation, or referral to another specialist.

Testing with context

Useful testing starts with a clinical question.

Bloodwork can help investigate specific possibilities. For example, thyroid testing may be relevant when fatigue, weight changes, or menstrual changes suggest a thyroid condition.

Your physician decides which tests are appropriate and how to interpret them alongside your symptoms.

NIDDK — Underactive thyroid

Hormone results can be influenced by cycle timing, contraception, and existing treatment. Share those details and follow the preparation instructions provided for your recommended tests.

Does everyone need a hormone panel?

No. In otherwise healthy women aged 45 or older with typical symptoms, perimenopause or menopause is usually identified from symptoms and menstrual history without routine hormone blood tests.

Testing may still be appropriate to investigate another possible cause or clarify a different clinical question.

Before you get started

Is this service only for women going through menopause?

No. You can contact us about hormonal questions or changes in how you feel before, during, or after the menopause transition. Your physician determines which assessment is appropriate and whether another specialist should be involved.

Will I automatically be offered HRT?

No. Recommendations depend on your symptoms, medical history, preferences, and assessment. HRT is one possible treatment in appropriate circumstances; other options or further investigation may be more suitable. Explore perimenopause, menopause & HRT care →

Can I start without bloodwork?

Yes. Complete the assessment with the information you have or contact our team. You do not need to select a hormone panel before asking for help.

Can I use results I already have?

Share the complete reports, including dates, units, and reference ranges. Where relevant, include cycle timing and any contraception or hormone treatment used when the samples were taken. Your physician reviews whether additional testing is needed.

What if my results are within the laboratory range?

Your symptoms still deserve consideration. A result is interpreted in context, and some conditions—such as typical perimenopause in women aged 45 or older—do not require an abnormal hormone blood test for recognition.

Your physician may also investigate non-hormonal contributors.

Can I contact you if I already use HRT or hormonal contraception?

Yes. Share what you use, the dose or formulation if known, and the reason you are seeking review. Your physician considers how the treatment affects symptoms and interpretation of results. Continue prescribed treatment unless your clinician advises a change.

Do you prescribe testosterone for women?

Testosterone is not a routine treatment for general fatigue, brain fog, or wellbeing in women. It may be considered for carefully assessed low sexual desire in selected circumstances, with appropriate discussion and monitoring. Your physician determines whether it is relevant.
